Overview
A composition and lighting exercise built around shots inspired by the work of cinematographer Roger Deakins. Less about story, more about learning to see a frame the way he does.
Goal
Reverse engineer a frame instead of just admiring it.
Approach
Studied the reference for light direction before touching a camera. Rebuilt the setup with the gear actually on hand. Judged it against the reference frame, not against a finished film.
